I do a lot of mechanical work myself so I know how important it is to find a good shop when I can’t get the job done. Some issues are just to much for me to handle. My new shop of preference is “ Craftsman Auto Repair.” They are by far one of the most honest, efficient and customer friendly shops I have associated with in Virginia to date! It is my belief that this is a direct result of “Ownership “ I have personally met and talked with Mr. Matt, he is genuinely interested in his customers vehicle needs and their satisfaction. The shop manager at this location is named Jeremy, he’s young but that does not in anyway say that he is not knowledgeable because he is. He doesn’t try to fluff you up if he doesn’t know something he will quickly tell you that he has to do some research and then he will give you his response. Jeremy is honest and fair and he delivers upon what is agreed. There was a time when they shop ran into an additional problem and without hesitation he immediately took pictures and contacted me to get my input before he proceeded with the repair and it was still on time. This is a seriously professional full service shop and they are very good at what they do. I have taken at least five of my vehicles here and have recommended several of my friends to go here as well. They have worked on the oldest vehicle I have soon here in this picture to the newest of my vehicles. I used them before and honestly I think that the biggest change came when they made Jeremy the manager of this location because under the leadership of the last manager not no customer friendly the service was still on point however. In closing the this is definitely my shop now and I would definitely recommend it to everyone who is looking for a honest reputable mechanic shop who is both fair, efficient and responsible. Mr. Curry took his time and integrity to respect his customers. This is evident in his personal involvement with his shops.

Shop manager Andrew Gunn and tech Fernando took my damaged M3 and made it into an awesome track car, removing the engine and entire drive train and suspension, and installing everything into another donee chassis, after removing the engine/trans/suspension of donee car. Andrew even had the wiring harness harness completely re-done. The 'new' track car is 800lbs lighter, tighter, stiffer and quicker. They did all this in about 2 months, connecting me to a specialist who built the cage and strengthened the rear subframe. That was an enormous job, really well-done with no aggravating delays.

This is the best place I felt happy to take my car in for the regular maintenance check and alignment correction. They are very welcoming and their prices are pretty reasonable. I like their live view car report, with photos and videos of the parts and detailed notes on the health of the part, they follow the simple red, yellow, green symbolism. I like how they don't force or impose on getting something on your car, you will decide that for your car. This is a good place to take your car in for any kind of problem 👍

Thank you, Subba! Happy to help with your auto repair maintenance and alignment. Glad you find our Digital Health Inspection of your vehicle with the photos and videos to be a helpful tool in knowing exactly what is going on and how to plan for it. We're here for whatever you need! -Your Craftsman Team

On 2 October I left my 2018 Honda CRV for manufacturer-prescribed service. Later that morning I had a phone call to confirm my receipt of a link to the online posting of the Courtesy Inspection, which I was just then reviewing. Among the 44 (?) items checked, there were four flagged for followup: state inspection, two dirty filters, and an engine oil leak. There were photographs of the filters and the oil leak, as well as other photos confirming "no problem." I authorized the additional work and took the advice to schedule a dealer appointment for the oil leak, which should be covered by warranty. The car was available for pickup early in the afternoon. That was all soooooo easy -- and it got better! I took the car to the dealer on 5 October to deal with the oil leak. The response was hesitant, because the oil they found around the crankcase seal looked clean and they suggested it was a spill from the oil replacement on Friday. My response? I shared the link to the Craftsman inspection, showing oil on the engine BEFORE the oil change AND the board in the shop, where the mechanic posted samples of fluids from my vehicle alongside samples of pristine fluids. The "old" oil did indeed look clean after 12 months -- of very limited driving. The dealer accepted the evidence and proceeded with the correction. Thank you, Craftsman Auto Repair!
