Craftsman auto was a complete disappointment. Upon arrival of my appointment, they told me an oil change would take an hour and a half. Mind you, I had the first appointment of the day. Why was an oil change going to take an hour and a half? After agreeing to wait, they told me what kind of oil my car needed based off their “recommendation”. I told them, I’ve had this car for 6 years and EVERY oil change I’ve gotten has been conventional. I’ve even taken it back to the dealership and they’ve confirmed, conventional is the oil it takes. After going back and forth, they then told me they could not service me because their system says what it says and that that’s all they could do.. I asked him to actually go out and look at my car & he would be able to tell what oil it took. He stepped outside, glanced at my car and said, “yeah, it takes synthetic” I was shocked. At that point, I realized they had no idea what they were talking about at Craftsman. I happily left and was thankful I was saved before they tried to “work” on my car.
Hi Nikkisha, we are sorry your experience wasn't as expected. Based on our records, your appointment was at 10am. With our shops opening at 7am, you unfortunately were not the first customer of the day. The reason for the extra half hour for an oil change is to allow time for a full digital car care inspection. When it comes to the oil, the recommendation for synthetic came from a former Nissan Factory Trained Master Technician. In his professional opinion, he felt that using conventional oil would be doing you and your vehicle a great disservice. We only want what's best for our customers!
