I don't post reviews on companies that give satisfactory service. I believe that it's the job they get paid for and I pay then and they get a thank you. But I DO post when a company has gone above and beyond their job requirements. I had bought a car and it broke down (wouldn't start) and I was referred to Craftsman Auto Care by my ex-husband actually. When I took the car to Craftsman, I had no idea how much major damage the car had. Matt, one of the lead mechanics, spoke to me initially and after inspecting the car, they found out that the car had major engine trouble and the engine was shot. After wrangling with the dealer to pay for the repairs, it was a go to fix. Not only did Mike, one of the other lead mechanics give me a complete breakdown of what was going on and why, but he kept me in the loop . They ordered the engine and found other issues along the way but made sure the additional parts were cost efficient by searching for the best deals. I just drove and got my car back today, and it drives like a dream! I cannot thank Matt, Mike, Jeremy, and Brandon enough for there expertise by not only installing an engine CORRECTLY, but by adding the human touch of making sure that the cost was kept down for me, and fixing it as expeditiously as possible to get me out of the car rental I was in. If you are looking for real mechanics who know what the heck they're doing, where the prices are reasonable specifically in this area, save yourself the time and just go to Craftsman Auto Care!!!!!!!!!!!

As always, customer service is number 1 and they have a competent professional staff. Price is better than others too.

They explained everything, helped guide me through the options, and performed the work on time. Who could ask for more from an auto repair shop? Oh yeah, the clean and comfortable waiting room was a bonus.

Ok, I am not happy about the cost but I appreciate the lack of pressure to do particular recommendations. I hate when I am told that the world is going to explode unless you do such-and-such. Craftsman does not do that. I am given the list of issues and the risk associated without doing the maintenance and left to make the choice. Thank you again for taking care of me and I definitely appreciate things not cropping up after due to poor workmanship. Keep it up!!

As a first time customer, I was very pleased with my experience. Unlike my experiences with getting regular maintenance at the dealership, there was no upselling for work that may or may not be needed. I will be a returning customer.

I always go to Craftsman Auto Care because I trust them to treat my car like it's a finely tuned race car, even though it's just a 5 year old Jetta. The staff are so friendly and welcoming and make me feel that I am a valued customer. Even when I bring my car in for something small, like the tire patch they did yesterday, I know that the Craftsman Auto Care team will attend to every detail and never slack on any service. The location is clean, the waiting room is comfortable, and I have always been treated respectfully here. Plus, the value for the price is amazing. I hope that this shop remains here for many years to come - as long as they're open in the Northern Virginia area, this is where I will bring my vehicles for any and all care and repairs.
