Craftsman Auto Care - Merrifield
I had a catalytic converter replaced. Brought the Subaru OEM part to Craftsman as I didn't want an aftermarket installed. After the repair I noticed an unfamiliar rattle so I went to investigate and found: - 2 of the screws holding the front skid plate were loose, which was the source of the rattle - 5 plastic push-screws holding various panels together were outright missing - The forward heat shield of the catalytic converter was not installed (see photo) The first two items I can give a pass on (wouldn't be the first time), but not installing the heat shield is an obvious and complete failure. The purpose of the heat shield is to protect other components of the car from excessive heat. I can't imagine what would cause the mechanic to miss something so obvious.
