Who ever said servicing your vehicle’s Air Conditioning System isn’t Sexy?  Introducing the next generation of AC Service that is now available at Craftsman Auto Care.

We’ve invested in this new Recover, Recycle & Recharge Robinair equipment to keep you cool and to keep abreast with new technology. This new, state-of-the-art machine brings you leading-technology efficiency and more accurate service. This high quality recover & recharging lengthens the interval between AC services and results in a cost savings for customers.

Now that’s something everyone desires!

What does it do?

This is the first commercially available machine to fully meet the SAE’s (Society of Automotive Engineers) requirement for recovering, recycling and recharging vehicle A/C systems that use the new R1234YF refrigerant.  80% of the top-10 vehicle models manufactured in 2019 use this new refrigerant as well as 50% of all new vehicles sold. It features an integrated refrigerant identifier that samples the refrigerant in the vehicle’s A/C system prior to recovery, is a highly accurate and reliable machine, and can service both standard and hybrid vehicle A/C systems.

What is the new R1234YF refrigerant?

The drive for environmental responsibility leads recent advances in refrigerant. The latest refrigerant technology is R-1234yf which started rolling out in new vehicles around 2017.  R-1234yf has a 99.7% lower Global Warming Potential (GWP) than its predecessor, R-134a.

If you own an older vehicle, don’t worry.  R-134a refrigerant will remain in production, just in lower volumes according to demand and these systems can be retrofitted to a R-1234yf system.

Your AC System can be serviced with the new Robinair equipment at any of our locations in Alexandria, Fairfax, Merrifield, Chantilly, McLean, Sterling/Cascades. Call (833)-CRAFTS1 or schedule an appointment online now!.
